L.C. Dodd 82, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2026.
L.C. Dodd, Jr. born on January 13, 1944, in San Augustine County to L.C. Dodd, Sr. and Arnette (Jones) Dodd. L.C. Dodd, Jr. grew up surrounded by love and family. He graduated from Thomas Johnson High School Hemphill, Texas. He later moved to Lufkin, Texas where he began to work at Lufkin Foundry.
He was known for his generous spirit and infectious laughter and playing checkers and domino games. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories.
He is preceded in death by his parents L.C. Dodd, Sr and Arnette (Jones) Dodd, brothers Marvin Earl Dodd and Jamie Stansberry.
L.C. Dodd is survived by son Wesley Dodd (Sheila)Elgin, South Carolina and granddaughters Tiffany Dodd , Valery Barts of Germany, bonus granddaughter, grandson and great grandchildren, special nieces Patricia Dodd, Rochelle Dodd, Doris Dodd and Tonya Henson, special nephew Marvin Dodd Jr, Darly Henson and Hirman Tyrone Blake as well as numerous friends and loved ones. Special thanks to care giver Keena Davis for compassionate care.
He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation Saturday January 31, 2026, from 10 am to 11 am . Service will start at ll:00 am, at Colonial Mortuary and Cremation , Lufkin, Texas where friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate LCS life.
