Libby Young's Obituary
Services for Libby Young, 84, of Diboll will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 Pine St., Diboll, TX.
Burial will follow in the Nigton Cemetery in Nigton, TX. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary. Mrs.Lbby B. Young, 84, was born November 15, 1933 in Nigton, Texas to the late Luter and Climmie Mark. She departed this life on March 2, 2018 in Diboll, Texas.
Libby attended school in Deridder, Louisiana. She was married to the late Curley Young. Libby had nine children with her previous husband, Otis Miller. She retired from Temple Inland after a 20 years career. Her interests included her family, the community, cooking, and watching basketball. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother and father. She was a pillar in the community and all that stopped by her house was greeted with a big welcome and a plate of food.
Left to cherish her memory is her Children; Bertha Goff, Vera Miller, Cedric Miller, Barbara Bolton (Fred Bolton), Damien Young (Shirley Young), and Peggy Miller all of Diboll, Texas. Helen Josey (Robyn Josey) of Lufkin, Texas. Glenda Perry, Regina Miller, and Latoya Magee (Jonathan Magee) of Harker Heights, Texas. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister and brothers, Alice Mitchell, of Houston, Texas, Elmer Mark (Lorinne Mark), of Nigton, Texas, Eddie Mark ( Barbara Mark) of Japan and brother-in-law, James Alford of Groveton, Texas. She also left 1grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Libby is preceded in death by her husband,
Curley Young, her father and mother, Luters and Clemmie Mark; her brother and sisters, Luters Mark Jr., Troy Gillis, Sammie Jenkins, and Billie Alford, her son, Carl Miller; and some uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephew.
