Graveside services for Mae Lee Menefee,94, of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Davis Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. Mrs. Menefee was born on October 6, 1926 and died on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Mae Lee Perry Menefee, was born on October 6, 1926 in Town Bluff, Texas. She was the daughter of Link Perry and Silla Perry, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Menefee departed this life on October 6, 2020 in Lufkin, Texas. Mrs. Menefee confessed her faith and united with the Church of the Living God PGT, at an early age. She remained steadfast in her faith until her demise.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Lewis Jewel Menefee on October 10, 1946. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Nunley; sisters, Thelma Perry Green, Rosie Nolen, Nellie Hines, Mae Eddie Lee Dixon, Jessie Mae Benemon, Ola Lee Whitmill and Pearlie Moore; brothers, J. P. Johnson, Jack Perry, Lois Mott, Sr.; Eddie Lee Dixon, Eugene Mott, Charlie Mott and Ellison Perry; Aunts, Roxie Aldridge, Laura Jackson, Pearl Jackson, Sarah Pittman, and Willie Reed; daughter, Shirley Mae Menefee Terrell; son, John Arthur "Hamburger" Hamilton Menefee and nieces, Earlene Johnson Dearmon and Katrina Acliese Jenkins.
