Funeral services for Mamie Baynes Hankins,73, of Lufkin will be held at 1 p.m., in the Simpson Chapel Baptist Church of Tadmor. Burial will follow in the Cal Wooten Cemetery. Mrs. Hankins was born on June 18,1948, in Crockett Tx, and died on Saturday, November 6,2021, in Lufkin.
Mamie Nell was born June 19, 1948 in Crockett, Texas, to the parentage ofLennard and Maude Baynes. Mamie Nell attended Ralph J. Bunch School with the Class of 1966. She accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church of Crockett, Texas. She later reunited with Simpson Chapel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Lionel Whhitaker.
Mamie Nell was a loving and hard working mother for her children, Anthony and
Ray Richardson, as well as for her grandchildren: Ray-Ray Richardson, Corey Richardson, D.J. Richardson, and Zacorian McCloud that she love dearly. She was a Med Aid for the Nursing Homes in Lufkin, Texas. Mamie loved to cook, play cards, fishing, and she loved her blues. She retired from Lufkin Industry where she and her cousin Jerldine Patton worked together.
On November 6, ±021, Mamie Nell was called Home to live with God. She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Lennard and Maude Baynes; Sisters, Dorothy Roberson and Josephine Patton; Her cousins, Harvey Rusher, Sr. and nephew Robert Earl Moten, Jr. ; A special friend also preceded her in death, Letha Deckard.

Her sons, Ray Richardson and Anthony Richardson both of Lufkin, Texas; Brother, Robert Earl Moten; Cousins, Jerldine Patton; Grandchildren, Corey Richardson (Candice), Ray Ray Richardson (Capri), D.J. Richardson (Elisha) and Zacorian McCloud; Her nieces, Felicia Patton (James), Johnnie Jordan, Karen Granger, Sandra White (Mike), Bridget Ross (James) Shell White, Lisa Coleman(Sam); Nephews, Julius Evans, Larry Evans, Leroy Patton (Demetric); A wealth of other extended family and others who called her "Brown Sugar."
