Mammie Mark's Obituary
Services for Mammie Mark, 77, will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Church of Living God on 1002 Cypress, Diboll, Tx. Burial will follow in the Diboll Cemetery Mrs. Mark was born on October 22, 1945, and died Monday, January 9, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitation is Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary.
Ms. Mammie Mark was born on October 22, 1945, to the parentage of the late David Moore Sr. and Gertrude Inella Moore in Brookeland, Texas. Mammie was affectionately known as Mammie B. by her family and friends. She received her formal education from H.G Temple High School in 1963 where she was Salutatorian of her class. Mammie worked at Champion International from 1973 until her retirement in 1995.
Mammie loved her family. She was the glue that held them together, always. the peacemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, supporting them in everything they did. Mammie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of The Church of the Living God P.G.T in Diboll under the leadership of Overseer Austin Hearon until her death. She served as the Youth Director for many years and was a member of the Usher Board.
On January 9th, 2023, Mammie made her transition from her Earthly Home to her Eternal.
Home. Mammie is preceded in death by her parents David Moore Sr. and Gertrude Inella Moore, two brothers Sylvester (Joe Boy) Cauley and David Moore Jr., and two sisters, Johnnie Mae Taylor and Nell Faye Johnson.
Left to cherish her memories are two sons: Michael Wyatt of Diboll, TX, and Charles Mark Jr.
(Katrina) of Prosper, TX; three daughters: Sundra (Darryl) Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, Donna (Derrick) James of Livingston, TX and Andrea (Quentin) of Corinth, TX; eight grandchildren:
Marques (Eury) Thompson, Crystal Wyatt, Jarvis Drake, DeVoyius Mark, Ja 'Derrian James,
Jerren James, Kinley Wyatt and Lathan Wyatt; great grandchildren: Elijah Thompson and Noah Thompson; godson: C.J. Taylor; sisters: Patricia Moore of Humble, TX, Evelyn Vercher of
Fresno, CA, Macedonia Moore of Houston, TX, and Regina Freeman of Diboll, TX; sister-in-law: Yolaunda Moore of Fayetteville, NC.; special sister-in-law: Melva Cauley of Nigton, TX; special friends: Delma Brown and Evelyn Stephens, and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
