Services For Manzel Clark will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow3 in the Davis Memorial Gardens.
Manzel Clark, was born on November 2, 1928 in San Augustine Texas to the late Roosevelt Clark and Elmonia Anders Clark.
He accepted the Lord in his life at a very young age in San Augustine, Texas, at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He married Ocie Lee Clark, April 5, 1947 and to the union seven children were born. Carnel Clark, Dallas, Vernell Clark (Bertha) College Park, Georgia, Glenda Leassear (Jethro) Lufkin, Texas; Shelia Jackson (Pascal) Lufkin, Texas; Rita Mayshaw (Michael) Lufkin, Texas; Clifton Clark (Johnita) Houston, Texas; Gregory Clark (Brenda) Lufkin, Texas; A special nephew, Eddie Roy Wade, and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by one son, Richard T. Clark, and daughter, Willie Vivian Clark Brooks.
Mr. Clark was born and raised in San Augustine, Texas. He joined the military at an early age, where he served in the United States Army. Mr. Clark was a local farmer, Sunday School Teacher, and Deacon at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He and his family moved to Lufkin, Texas in 1965, where he was employed at Lufkin Industries as a machinist. He retired from Lufkin Industries after 30+ years dedicated service. Mr. Clark spent most of his leisure time gardening, fishing, hunting, visiting others, and spending time with his grand-kids. Manzel Clark always kept the doors of his home open for those in need of food, shelter, and words of encouragement. He will be greatly missed for love and compassion for family and friends
