Marilyn Hudson's Obituary
Memorial service for Marilyn Hudson, 65, of Lufkin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
Marilyn Marie Hudson was born on April 1, 1956, in Tyler Texas to the parents of Eriton Hudson, Sr, and Freddie Lee Pettigrew- Hudson.
Marilyn attended Tyler ISD and obtained her GED. She resided mostly in Whitehouse, TX but she was raised in the (east end). She loved to cook, eat and was the mother to only her own two children but many others as well. Over the years she worked as a patient care assistant traveling to Dallas and other cities to care for the elderly. In her youth, she was a member of bluebirds at Dunbar elementary school and served as a flag girl for the troop. She attended Browning Memorial Church as well as Friendship Baptist Church in Tyler, TX.
She was proceeded in death by her mom Freddie Lee Pettigrew her Dad Eriton Hudson, Sr her brother Eriton Hudson, Jr, and James Ray Waters.
Left to cherish her life is Robin Spencer (daughter) of Tyler, TX. Charles (LaKisha) Warren of Lufkin, TX, Sherman Pettigrew (brother) of California, Robert Waters (brother) of Dallas, TX. Niece - Yolanda Sneed. Nephews — Ronnie Hudson Sr, Kelvin Hudson, Frederick Hudson, Nick Waters, Bryan Waters, James Ray Waters Jr, Robert Waters Jr, And several special lifelong friends.
