Visitation for Mary Davis will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church from 5-7 PM. The funeral service for Mary Davis, 87, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1519 Williams St, Lufkin, TX 75904, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas. Mrs. Davis was born on November 17, 1938, in San Augustine, Texas, and died on March 12, 2026, in McKinney, Texas.
Mary attended Lincoln High School in San Augustine, Texas, as a proud member of the Class of 1959. She united in Holy Matrimony to Willie at Davis on September 6, 1960, who preceded her in death. She had been employed at Lufkin Day Care, Angelina County Extension Program, and Memorial Medical Center of East Texas until she retired. Growing up, she was a member of Reed Chapel in San Augustin, Texas. Upon moving to Lufkin, she became a member of the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Green E. and Mattie B. Ruth; Husband, Willie earl Davis; Sisters, Wilma Bryant, Mattie Nickerson, and Patricia Austin; Brothers, Alton Ruth, Claude Ruth; Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law, Cedric Jr. and Lauren Davis. Mary had 3 Bonus Daughters, Gloria Butler, Destiny Warner and ReShuna Mattox; 2 Bonus sons, Corey Austin and Pastor Kalvin Mattox.
