Funeral services for Mary Jackson,98, of Lufkin, will be at 1 p.m., Friday, April 9,2021, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Colonial. Mrs. Jackson was born on March 23, 1923, and died on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Mary Ann Marks Jackson was born to the late Julius and Amanda Marks in Fordyce, Arkansas on March 23, 1923. Mary and her late husband of seventy five years, Charlie Jackson, Sr. moved to Lufkin in 1955, where she resided the remainder of her life.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she served in the choir. She was employed as a private home housekeeper and health care provider. She was a Great Leader and Provider to her family and was willing to help anyone in need. Mary loved the Lord with all her heart.
March 31, 2021 Mary Ann Jackson entered into eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Jackson Sr.; daughters Ruby Jewell, & Jeannette Taylor; and son, Terry Jackson Sr.
