Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Mangus, 85, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Fourth and Groesbeck Church of Christ, 401 E. Groesbeck Ave., Lufkin, TX. with
Brother Jim Vaughan officiating . Immediately following the services a Silk Flowers and Silk Roses
Planting Memorial Devotional will be held at the Mangus family home, 716 Garrison Dr., Lufkin, TX.
Mary was born August 30, 1929 in Broken Bow, OK. to the late Maudie (Gamble) and James Edwin Deither and passed away December 22, 2014 at her home in Lufkin, TX.
Mary attended the Fourth and Groesbeck Church of Christ in Lufkin. She loved reading the newspaper, her Bible, working in her flower and rose garden. and spending time with her famil and friends. She is fondly remembered for her loving care of her family and being a super Mom to her sons.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 67 years, Clarence Edward Mangus, four sons:
Andy Mangus of Port Neches, TX., Tony Mangus and Gary Mangus of Lufkin, TX. and Roger Mangus of Dallas, TX.; one brother: James Edwin Deither of Broken Bow, OK.; one sister; Joyce Lee Reid of McAlester, OK.; ten grandchildren: Landon Mangus, Alana Harrison, Lindsey Mangus,
Lorrie Spiering, Chris Mangus, Michael Mangus, John Mangus, Ashley Mangus, Jason Dollmeyer,
and David Dollmeyer, numberous great-grandchildren, friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Nelda Sue Lott and Barbara Gaye Rankins.
