Mary Sthran's Obituary
The Memorial service for Mary(Watts) Sthran, 71,of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel.
Mary LeeAnn Watts-Sthran was born to the late Clyde Watts, Sr. and Margarette Davis on January 11, 1954, in San Agustine, Texas.
She was the eleventh child of eleven children. Mary was a member of the Marilyn Baptist Church in San Augustine, Texas. Mary was in the top Ten Percent ofher 1972 Class. Mary or Puddin as we called her, furthered her education and became a Registered Nurse. She had been employed in the Dallas Metroplex for many years before moving to Lufkin, Texas to be closer to her family, where she continued her nursing career until her health no longer permitted it.

At the time of her death, Mary was survived by her brother, Addie Lee (JoAnn) Watts; Sisters, Helen Barnes and Dixie ( Rayford) Barnes in which two days later, Dixie joined her; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Watts; Brother-in-law, Tommy Holman; A special nephew that was like a brother who took care of her on a daily basis, Winnifred "Chilli" Watts; A wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by: Her parents; Brothers, Angelo Watts and Clyde, Watts Jr; Sisters Burnice Lee Watts, Maggie James, Maggie Rose, Cealie Trotty and Lena Watts.
Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
