Myrtle McKelvey- Brown's Obituary
Funeral service for Myrtle McKelvey Brown, 73 of Lufkin will be held Saturday, February 17,2024 at 2 p.m., in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will in the Davis Memorial Garden.
Myrtle Brown McKelvey, affectionately called "Jenny, was orn on April 29, 1950 in Casa Grande, Arizona to the parentage of the late Lucille Hunt and Clifton Brown.
Myrtle received her formal education from the Lullin Independent school District. Her religious affiliation was with the Baptist Church. Jenny enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. she also enjoyed the late night phone calls to her brothers and sisters. Myrtle had been employed and retired as an avi coole. After retiring, she relocated to Houston, Texas with her daughter in 2015 after her health began to fail. Myrtle resided in Houston, Texas until she passed on February 10, 2024.

Houston, Texas, Vernon (Rhonda) McKelvey, Michael McKelvey and Myrtle (Tim) Sturgis of Lufkin, Texas; Grandchildren, Jonathan Kirkwood of Luflein, Texas, Desmon Jones, Jr. an Ja en Jones of Houston, Texas, Cha'Brittanee Jones of Houston, and Vershon Sturgis, shyon Sturgis, and zayden McKelvey of Dallas, Texas; Siblings, Sandra Brown Conway, and perab Brown (Evelyn) of Houston, Texas, Robert Brown, Josephine Brown (Lawson) and Roy Williams Sr. of Lufkin, Texas; A goddaughter, Patricia Matthews of Lullein; A wealth of aunts, unc es, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Myrtle is preceded in death by: Parents, Lucille Hunt Brown and Clifton
Brown; Grandparents, Jurusllia and Andy Hunt; Brother, Jake Brown; Daughter, Bisheba Sturgis and granddaughter, Chantavia (Poollbear) Rodgers.
