Nannie Mae Culpepper's Obituary
Funeral services for Nannie Mae Culpepper, 96, of Lufkin will be held on Saturday, November 8,2025, at 11AM, at the Goodwill Church, 812 E. Lufkin Ave. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden.
Nannie Mae Culpepper was born to the parentage of the late Louis and Mary Bell in San Augustine, Texas, on February 19, 1929.
She received her formal education from the San Augustine Public Schools. Nannie was a faithful member of the Goodwill Church-Lufkin for many years. She served as a member of the Usher Board, Mission, Deaconess, and Choir.
Her livelihood consisted of sewing, gardening, her love for animals especially her dogs she owned at one time, Pixie and KoKo. Most of all Nannie was an avid cook. She never met a stranger, a people person, and treated everyone with utmost respect. Her career included many years of service at the Lufkin State School, and she also worked for the Metcalf Family in Lufkin.
Nannie made her earthly transition on November 2, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas, to receive her heavenly wings and heavenly rewards.

Tarsha Moses (Vic) of Lakewood California; Special granddaughter, Tiffiany Horace (David Jr.) of Cypress, Texas; Special daughters, Tommie Burley of Nacogdoches, Texas and Betty Menefee of Lufkin, Texas; Special great-grandchildren, Ashton Horace, A'Lyric Horace and Olivia Horace of Cypress, Texas; A wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
