Services for Odis Stanley Hamilton will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Central Church of Christ, 711 North 2nd St., Lufkin, TX. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Hemphill, TX. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary.Mr. Odis “Stan” Hamilton, 45, departed this life on Friday, October 13, 2017 at CHI St Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, Tx. He was born on January 25, 1972 to Odis G. Hamilton and Twyla M. Hamilton in Hemphill, Texas. Preceded in death by his grandparents: Miles and Gladys Hamilton and Carter and Jerry Brooks.
Stan graduated from Lufkin High School in 1990 and attended Angelina College to study Accounting. Stan was baptized into the body of Christ at an early age and was a member of the O’Quinn Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed going on vacations with his brothers and always brought back souvenirs from each place. He also enjoyed martial arts, collecting coins and classic cars, music and liked playing basketball when his health permitted him.
Survived by his parents, Odis Hamilton and Twyla Hamilton of Lufkin, Tx; 1 son, Alexander Patrick – Brooklyn, NY; 2 Sisters, Brondlyn Hamilton – Houston, Tx and Shaniya Hamilton – Lufkin, Tx; 2 brothers, Samuel Hamilton(Jackie) – Houston, Tx and Eric Hamilton(Rachel) – Lufkin, Tx; 6 nephews and 7 neices. He is also survived by a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Also, his special friend, Arreolia White.
