Pamela (Rushing) Ritter's Obituary
Funeral services for Pamela ( Rushing) Ritter,56, of Lufkin will be Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 11 a.m., in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m., till 7 p.m., at Colonial Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Sweet Union Cemetery. Mrs. Ritter was born June 8, 1964, in Lufkin, and died October 13, 2020, in Houston Texas.
Pamela Renee Ritter was born to the union of the late Esper and Opal Rushing on June 8, 1964.
She received her formal education from the Wells Independent School District. Pamela was a mother, a very proud and loving grandmother, housewife, caregiver, and never me a stranger. She had a big personality that would light up a room. One of her famous sayings when the kids were acting up and the parents wanted to discipline them she would tell them, "I am going to call A.P.S. on the parents (Aunt Protective Service)." She also loved her pet, Cooper. Pamela met and married Jerry Ritter, October 15, 2003, the marriage lasting until her demise. They were both members of the Devine Touch Ministries under the leadership of Reverend Cedric Jackson.

Her husband, Jerry Ritter; Three sons, Keith Lewis (Special daughter-in-law, Tammy), Robbie (Jasmine) Louis, Rodney Louis all of Lufkin, Texas; Four beautiful granddaughters, Karina, Malaysia, Mahogany, and Brynlei; Sisters, Helen (Larry) Jackson of Nacogdoches, Texas. Bea Tate of Wells, Texas, Karen (Kenny) Murphy of Lufkin, Texas; Brothers, Esper Rushing Jr. of Lufkin, Texas Willie (Debbie) Rushing of Rusk, Texas, Jerry Rushing of Sweet Union, Texas, Calvin Rushing of Sweet Union, Texas; A wealth of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
