Service for Mrs. Patricia Ann King Jones, 62, of Wells will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sweet Union Cemetry. Mrs. Jones was born on December 18,1959, in Nacogdoches, and died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Wells.
Patricia Ann King-Jones 62, was born on December 18, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas, to Matthew and Hazel Jones-King.
Patricia grew up in the Sweet Union Community. She was a graduate of Wells High School where she was an exceptional basketball, track and softball player. She loved family, fishing, and outdoor activities. Shortly after graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. After returning home, she was employed by Lufkin Industries as a Inventory Control Specialist. Patricia was a loving person willing to help anyone in need. She loved her son Matt and her dog Rambo.
She attended Sweet Union Baptist Church at an early age, and later attended Stonewall Baptist Church until she relocated to Wells, Texas. Patricia loved going to Jacksonville for outings at the Club House, and shopping with her case worker Jim Woodard.
On July 17, 2022, Patricia Ann King-Jones passed away at her residence.
Patricia is preceded in death by: her brother and best friend, Matthew King Jr.; A grandson Aiden Rivera; Grandparents, Frank and Flossie Jones, and numerous aunts and uncles.
