Patsy Ann Goode-Hartsfield was born on August 2, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas, and was the "prettiest little girl" Archie and Blanche Malone- Goode had ever seen. They loved her unconditionally until their demise. Patsy and her mom and dad moved to Huntington, Tx in the 1960s where she met some incredible lifelong friends. She attended school in Huntington, TX.
Patsy "Pat" was a very talented lady. She was well known for her love of hair, nails, hats, shoes, and clothes. You would often see her fancily clad as she frequented various churches and church functions. Her love for the Lord was evident. Patsy became a Christian at a young age and she was a member of the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church of Huntington, TX in her youth and young adult years. She later became a member of the Abundant Life Methodist Church in Lufkin, Texas.
Patsy was always encouraging others to reach their goals in life no matter the obstacle. She prided herself on being the elder cousin of the Smith Malone family and for that, much respect was given.
Patsy was an active member of the Lufkin Interdenominational Choir since the 1980s and was one of the best sopranos in East Texas. She followed the group on many excursions around Texas and Louisiana singing her praises to the Lord under the direction of Frederick Tims.
Patsy was employed by St. Giles Living Centers as a residential assistant for over 20 years, taking care of clients whom she grew attached to throughout the years. She continued to work even during her illness until she was no longer able to do so.
Patsy leaves to mourn her husband- Ray Hartsfield (Huntington, TX); son -Tyrone Moses(Jaclyn)Weatherford, TX); daughter -Tomara O'neal (Bedford, Tx.); Stepdaughters — Lamarle Hartsfield, Latayna Forney, and Lavana Hartsfield. A host of grandchildren, a special grandson - DeRay O'neal (Bedford, TX.), and a host of other cousins and friends.
