Funeral service Raymond " Goobie" Darks 44, of Lufkin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 18,2024, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Mr. Dark was born on April 23,1980, in Lufkin, and died on Monday, May 13,2024, in Lufkin.
Raymond was born on April 23, 1980 in Lufkin, Texas, to the parentage of Anita Darks and Charles Ray Thompson. He resided in Lufkin, Texas until he made his transition from his earthly home to his eternal home on May 13, 2024.
Raymond received his formal education from the Lufkin Independent School District and Lufkin High School. He was of Christian Faith. His livelihood consisted of spending quality time with his family as well as, being a basketball fan, loving to travel to the lake, watching comedy movies, and enjoying a good meal. Raymond loved his entire family and was a people individual. Everyone knew him no matter where he went. He will truly be missed by his entire family and his dear friends.
