Graveside service for Robert Earl Finley,77, of Diboll, will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 3:00 p.m., in the Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll Texas. Mr. Finley was born on August 22, 1942, in Lufkin and died June 10, 2020, in Diboll Texas.
Robert Earl Finley was born on August 22, 1942 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Herman Finley and Izora Stubblefield Finley. Robert grew up in Diboll, Texas where he attended H.G. Temple High School. He was employed at Temple Inland for many years. Robert enjoyed watching western movies on a daily basis and he also had a passion for doing yard work around the community for many years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
On June 10, 2020 a peaceful life came to a close for Robert Earl Finley in Diboll, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory: Sons, Curtis Ray Finley (LaTonya) and Porter Finley of Diboll,Texas; Daughters, Sharon Mitchell, Lakeshia Holman, and Potoria Finley of Diboll, Texas. Sisters,
Queen Russaw and Vergie Hines (Isaac) of Diboll, Texas. Special Nephews, Wesley and Wade Finley of Diboll, Texas. Special Niece, Cynthia Finley of Diboll, Texas. Uncle, John Fenley, Sr. of Lufkin, Texas. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Herman Finley; his mother, Izora Finley; brother, Donald Ray Finley; sisters, Maurine Finley-Vincent and Helen Finley-Arline; son, Robert Earl Mitchell; Uncle and Aunt, Lewis and Ethel Stubblefield.
