Robert (Base) Gilder's Obituary
Funeral services for Robert ( Base ) Gilder,60, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens.
Robert Earl Gilder, was born on March 23, 1959 in Zavalla, Texas to the late Clifton Gilder, Sr. and Hattie Elmer Butler.
Robert grew up in Boykin Settlement. He attended the Cosmesneil School District from which he graduated. He was an avid mechanic in which many called upon when his service was needed. Base as he was affectionately called, enjoyed his work as a mechanic, and you could find him anytime working on someone's automobile. Robert had been married to his wife of 41 years, Beverly Blackshire-Gilder. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Sisters-in-law, Denita (Darrell Ray), Lora Ann (Joe) all of Lufkin, Texas; A wealth ofnieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
