Memorial funeral service for Robert Johnson 69, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Robert Lee Johnson the son of the late Bennie Maurice and Lexine Johnson, was born April 2, 1955 in Nacogdoches, Texas, and resided in Lufkin, Texas. He departed this life June 24, 2024. He attended public school in Lufkin, Texas and after graduating Lufkin High School in 1973, he attended Angelina College in Lufkin. He united with Long Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age with his father and mother, Bennie and Lexine Johnson until his death. Robert worked for Perry Brothers, Inc., Charles Wilson VA Outpatient Clinic in Lufkin, and Axley and Rode Accounting Firm LLC.
Robert had a vivid memory of facts, figures, and places. He loved to travel and was a dedicated bowler.
He leaves to cherish his memory: One Brother, Richard Taylor of Dallas, Texas; Six Sis!ers and two Brother-in-Laws, Lynette (Lyn) and Carl Kiel of Lufkin, Texas, Tanya McDuff of Houston, Texas, Maggie Anthony of Lufkin, Texas, Joyce Denman of Lufkin, Texas, Annie and Shelton Jones of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Alvin Marie Jenkins of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; One Aunt, Faynelle Solomon of Mt Enterprise, Texas; One Cousin, Myrick (Mike) Johnson of California; Best Friend, David Jackson of Lufkin, Texas, and other relatives and friends.
