Rodney Louis' Obituary
The funeral service for Mr. Rodney Louis, 28, of Lufkin, Texas will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Colonial Mortuary Chapel at 11:00 A.M. The burial will follow at the Sweet Union Cemetery. Mr. Louis was born on July 22, 1996, in Nacogdoches, Texas, and died on October 31, 2024 in Houston, Texas
Rodney Robert Louis, was blessed into this world on July 22, 1996, to Robert Louis, Sr. and the late Pamela Rushing Ritter.
Rodney was the baby of three siblings where they all resided in Lufkin, Texas. He attended the Lufkin Independent School District until his Senior year in which he moved to Virginia. He attended and graduated from Tallwood High School. Following graduation, he relocated back to Lufkin, Texas and was employed with several different facets. They included, Quard Graphics, Pilgrim's Pride, and Blather Energy. While employed at Blather Energy. He experienced traveling to different cities and was trained to work on huge windmills. Rodney remained there until his health declined.
Rodney was a charismatic, vibrant, and loving person who had a big heart. His smile said it all and though he was small in size, he loved grand things and was very talented. He played classical music on the piano and was an athlete while attending Tallwood High School. He set a 100 meter track record that has yet to be broken.
Everyone that knew him knows that he was a cowboy at heart, who loved horses and trail riding with his cousin Alicia. He also loved guns. In his down time, he enjoyed playing his beloved play station, "Call of duty," while eating his ramen noodles. Even though he loved all those things, nothing or no one out-weighed the love that he had for his baby girl Brynlei.

A man who had a big heart, loved his family and God, gained his wings on October 31, 2024, to reunite with his mother, Pamela Rushing Ritter; Grandparents, Esper and Mae Opal Rushing; John D. Louis and Nannie Louis.
