Roe B Deason's Obituary
Service for Mr. Roe. B. Deason, 87, of Lufkin is scheduled for 11 a.m., on Monday, September 19, 2022, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Nigton Cemetery. Mr. Deason was born on February 10, 1935, in Apple Springs and died on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Lufkin. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., at Colonial Mortuary.
He was reared in Nigton, Texas, where he attended the Nigton Public School District. Roe B. was religiously affiliated with the Peaceful Rest Baptist Church where he was a member. He had spent 4 years in the United States Army. Upon returning, he resided in Nigton, Texas, and had been employed for 10 years as a Truck Driver. His livelihood included his love for traveling, and he was an avid fan of the (NFL) Dallas Cowboys Football Team. Roe B. loved to eat and his specialty was pork skins. In his spare time, he would sell watermelons in the East Texas Area. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
On September 13, 2022, Roe B. Deason departed this life in Lufkin, Texas.
He is preceded in death by His parents, Fairbanks Deason, Sr., and Dena Deason; A brother John S. Deason.
Survivors: Daughter. Debra Deason of Lufkin, Texas; Two grandsons, Toriana Deason and Patrick
Ross of Lufkin, Texas; a granddaughter, Telkia Deason of Lufkin, Texas; 8 great-grandchildren;
A very special friend, Willie Lee McGowan of Lufkin, Texas; his siblings, Dorothy Wade of
Nigton, Texas; Gracie Deason of Houston, Texas, Richard Deason of Atlanta, Georgia (Cynthia), Fair Banks Deason, Jr. (Sherry); A wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
