The funeral service for Roger Van Johnson, 84 of Garland, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Woods Memorial 230 Leech St, Lufkin. The burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens., Roger was born on August 25, 1940, in Hemphill, Texas, and died April 4, 2025 Rowlett, TX. He attended Woods Memorial Temple in Lufkin, Texas, where he found a source of strength that contributed to his spiritual growth.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; His sons, Cedric and Patrick; his Daughter, Gwendolyn, and a grandson, Tarius.
Roger is survived by: His sons, Kim (Sheila), Reginald (Karen), Roger (Kila), Jonathan, and Tony; his Daughters, Diane (Bruce), Renea Wade; A wealth of grandchildren
