Ronnie Charlton's Obituary
Funeral services for Ronnie Charlton, 68, of Lufkin are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m., at Colonial Mortuary Chapel . Interment will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ronnie Edward Charlton, Sr.,was born on August 22, 1951, in the Cedar Grove Community to the late Lee Edward and Birdie Ola Charlton.
He was a graduate of Dunbar High School, Lufkin, Texas, Class of 1969. Mr. Charlton attended Texas Southern University and later went to Cow Town Driver Education School in Fort Worth, Texas, and became a Professional Truck Driver. Ronnie's love for the road gave him joy and peace. He enjoyed driving long days and nights, traveling locally around the State and across the Country. He retired from his Career of Professional Truck Driving in 1994. Mr. Charlton was a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousins and friend. He wanted to see everyone else happy. He was a free hearted and selfless man. His hobbies were fishing, sports and relaxing listening to music.
