Sadie Morrison's Obituary
Service for Sadie Morrison, 84, of Lufkin will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden.
Sadie Pearl Calvin-Morrison, was born to Roxie Deason & Edward Willie Calvin, Jr., February 26, 1941.
As a young woman, Sadie met Jimmy Morrison of Wells, Texas, and they married and created a family. Unfortunately, while their children were still young, Jimmy suffered a tragic death leaving behind his wife and children. Sadie was a strong Christian woman of God that raised her children with the help of God, His Holy Spirit, and family support. She was a gentle, kind, and loving soul as described in I Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV; Love is patient, kind, not boastful, not proud, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrong, does not dishonor, does not delight in evil, but rejoice in truth, always trust, always protects, always hopes, and always persevere.
The calling on her life was to be a giver, nurture, and a mother. She was known as Mom and Grandma to anyone that came to know her. Her life demonstrated God's love and grace toward others, and her faith in God's Power and Promises.
On July 13, 2025, Sadie made her transition from her Earthly Home to her Eternal Home.
