Funeral services for Sharon Shankle, 51, of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021, in the First United Methodist Church located at 805 E. Denman Ave, Lufkin, Texas. Burial will follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Alto. Mrs. Shankle was born on May 30, 1970, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, in Lufkin.
Sharon Rena Shankle was born on May 30, 1970, to the late Shirley Thompson and Eddie James.
She was a graduate of Lufkin High School, Class of 1987. Sharon was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. On September 26, 2021, the Lord called His faithful servant home where there would be no more pain and suffering.
Sharon Rena Shankle was preceded in death by Her parents, Shirley Thompson and Eddie James; her Grandmother, Effie Pope; Her brothers, Gene Thompson and Joe Thompson; A very, very special friend, James Dean Lewis.
