Shirley Jones' Obituary
Funeral services for Shirley Jones,81, of Lufkin Tx are scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Impact Outreach Ministries. Interment will following the Davis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Colonial Mortuary Chapel from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. on Friday.
Mrs. Shirley Mark-Jones was born to the parentage of Jimmy and Inez Mark on June 19, 1938, in Nigton, Texas.
Shirley received her formal education in Lufkin where she was a graduate of Dunbar High School. Shirley was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. She was the former wife of Willie B. Jones who preceded her in death. Shirley's livelihood consisted of dancing, music, and she was an avid gardener. She also loves planting flowers, fishing or just out with her chickens and ducks. If anyone had questions about gardening or any type of flowers, Shirley was the person to contact. Cooking was her passion and she had worked numerous jobs in Lufkin as the Main Cook. Shirley truly lived her life to the fullest around her family and friends bringing joy to those that she came in contact with. She truly will be missed by her family and friends.
On September 4, 2019, Shirley passed away peacefully in Lufkin, Texas.

Her daughters, Debra Harris, Kathy Coutee, Valerie Jones, and Wilie Renae Jones; Her sons, Ervin Harris and Alonzo Jones with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jimmy and Inez Mark; other; Billy Johnson, Frankie Mark; A son, Darryl Lynn Mark and a grandson, Quincy Coutee.
