Memorial service for Shirley Jones 80, of Lufkin will be Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Ms. Jones was born on March 30, 1945, in Lufkin, and died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas. Cremation under the direction of Colonial Mortuary.
Shirley Jones -White was born in Diboll, Texas on March 30,1945, to the parents Willie D. Jones and Rosie Lee Jones. Shirley was the last child out of eight children.
Shirley attended H.G. Temple School and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church at a very early age. Later, Shirley attended First Missionary Baptist Churh. Shirley married Eddie White and out of that union two boys were born.
Shirley worked for Temple Industries, Salvation Army, and Geneva's Angle of Joy. Shirley was a volunteer at the Community Food Bank. Shirley loved to sing for the Lord.
Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings: Willie , Mable Lee, A.C. Augusta, Eddie Sr, Charles Jerry ( her twin).
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory
Sons: Quincy Jones, Eddie Jones Jr, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
