Theo Johnson's Obituary
Services for Theo Johnson, 90, of Pollock, TX. will be held Thursday, July 3,2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, 410 Scarbrough St., Lufkin, Tx.. Burial will follow in the New Center Prospect Cemetery in Pollock, Tx. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30 till 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Theo Johnson was born in Pollock, TX. on September 10, 1923 to the late Albert Johnson and
Irene Mitchell. He departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2014 in Lufkin.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Theo began his own logging company of 40 years in 1959. He was a member of New Center Prospect Baptist Church and he served faithly in many capacities until his health failed.
He was united in marriage to Quely Teal on March 16, 1944.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Quely(Teal) Johnson, sister: Hattie Barnes, daughter-in-law: Billie Johnson.
He is survived by his children: Virginia (Robert) Evans, Bonnie (James) Denmon, Charlene (Wayne) Rayson, Larry Johnson and Irene Tyler, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, brother, Herman FeFe Powers, brother-in-laws: Nash Teal Jr. and Wilbert Teal, sister-in-laws
Fairchild Teal and Doris Watson, nephew, Keith (Christian) Barnes, niece, Allison Barnes.
