Services for Thomas Smith, 73, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, August 28,2025 in the First Apostolic Church, 158 FM 2108, Burke,TX. at 1:oo p.m. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. till time of services at First Apolstolis Church.
Thomas Milton Smith, affectionately called "Snuffy," was born in Jasper, Texas, on February 19, 1952, to the parentage of the late Earsie Smith and Rosa Lou Clavenger.
On August 24, 2025, Thomas Milton Smith made his transition from his Earthly home to his Eternal home.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Earsie Smith and Rosa Lou Clavenger and a son, Thomas Joseph Smith (Bubba).
Snuffy received his formal education from the Huntington, Texas Independent School District. He was a faithful member of the First Apostolic Church UPC in Burke, Texas, under the leadership of Bro. Paul Mettlen. His livelihood consisted of carpentry, building churches, fishing and spending quality time with his family.
Thomas Milton Smith had been married to Mary Ellen Dowthitt-Smith for 57 years until his demise. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved
