Funeral services for Thomas Stewart, 59, of Lufkin are will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 11 a.m., in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Mr. Stewart was born on July 21, 1961, in Lufkin and died on November 2, 2020, in Conroe.
Thomas Anthony Stewart was born on July 21, 1961, in Lufkin, Texas to the parentage of James and Charlotte Ann Stewart.
Thomas received his formal education from Diboll Independent School District graduating with the Class of 1979. He was employed with NIBCD, Zavalla Police Department, Diboll Police Department, International Paper, and a few others. Thomas was raised in Diboll, Texas where he attended the First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He later became a member of
Bethesda Church. Thomas was an active member of the Church of the Living God CWFF under the leadership of Pastor George Wyatt. He served as a Deacon of the Church Chairman.
On Monday, November 2, 2020, Thomas Anthony Stewart departed this life in a Houston hospital.
He is preceded in death by His mother, Charlotte Ann Stewart; Daughter, Brandy Rochell Stewart, His wife, Aronda C. Hamilton, and his grandparents.
Surviving Relatives: Father, James E. Stewart Sr.; Sister, Latoya Stewart (Jewett); Brothers, Christopher L. (Lucia) Stewart, Vernon P. (Karen) Stewart, James E. Jr. (Shandy) Stewart; Survived by Partner, Daphne Hagen-Hawkins; Stepson, Alvin (Otisha) Hawkins; Stepdaughter, Alleah (J'Brandon); Grandsons, Jamir and Jaiden; Numerous, Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a wealth of extended family and friends.
