On November 20, 1952, Mr. Tom Earl Wallace, Sr. was born to the parentage of the late, Bertha Roberson and Adis Wallace in Huntington, Texas.
Tom Earl was known to many as, "Wolf Man." He gained the name due to the many dogs he owned as a teenager, and that he said they were the baddest dogs around, and that no one could defeat them. It was not unusual to see 10 dogs trailing behind him wherever he went. He grew up in Lufkin, attended Dunbar High School and worked for Texas Foundries. He moved to Dallas, Texas, and married Pam having one son from that union. He was the father of 3 children, Jacqueline Daniels who preceded him in death, Betty Daniels, and Tom E. Wallace, Jr. He is also the grandfather of four, and a great-grandfather. He enjoyed singing, fishing, and watching football. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
He is the third oldest of 10 children. His siblings are: Laura Wallace, Tommie Roy Wallace, Virginia Wallace-Farmer, Anna Roberson, Arthur Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy, Defra Kennedy -Denning (Leon), Drucilla Kennedy-Hall, and Sophia Brown. He also has a brother from New Summerfield, Kalvin Wallace; A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, who will all miss him.
The family offers special recognition to his good friend, Billy Bryant (Snake Doctor), who stood by his side and was a great help to him during his illness.
Tom Earl was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and would burst into a song at any time, surprising everyone because he really could sing. He loved his family and was happiest sitting in the yard on Abney Street eating BBQ, and enjoying everyone's company. He will be greatly missed. Tom was and avid church goer while living in New Summerfield, and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.
