Tommy Dennis' Obituary
Services for Tommy Dennis, 77, of Huntington, will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery in Huntington.
Tommy Dennis was born on Pearl Harbor Day in Tyler County to the late Maxine Sanders and Earl Dennis. He was a very good grandfather and uncle. He had a small but not so small circle of friends that he made through the years. He was proud to be a "Woodvillian", and spoke often of his accomplishments in sports as a young man. He was a proud Scott High Panther until his demise. Tommy was a truck driver and often talked about his adventures while hauling mobile homes all across the country. Sometimes he was called the " Wide Load" by many friends and family due to his awesome driving skills. He was a retired Crain driver for Lufkin Industries. Tommy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bull riding.
He is survived by his step daughter, Kasandra "Gina" Majone,Huntjngton, Grandson, Blake Malone(Lindsay) of Willis, and granddaughter, Kennedi Smith, Huntington. Half Brother , Willie James Dennis, Sr. Flint Michigan, Nephews, Willie James Dennis, Jr. Beaumont,Willie Earl Dennis (Jana) Texas City, Brother in laws — Eddie Logan and Norman Barlow of Huntington, Sister in law Georgia Malone,Austin, Sisters in Love — Evelyn, Kay Neil, Katy, and Barbara (McQueens). Very special friends/family — Bonita Barlow, Lisa Proctor, Dale Malone. John Earl Rigsby(Gussy), and Melissa Dye ( Jordan Home Health), 2 Great Grands (Liam / Aubrey), numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his brother Ernest Dennis, Ex wife Elsie Dennis, and numerous other inlaws.
