Funeral services for Tommy Smotherman, 61, of Kennard are scheduled for Saturday, February23,
2013 at 12:00 noon in the New Hope Baptist Church in Kennard. Interment will follow in the New
Hope Cemetery in Kennard.
Mr. Smotherman was born November 27, 1951 in Forth Worth and died February 16, 2013 in
Lufkin.
Survivors: Wife, Bettie Rhodes-Smotherman of Kennard; Daughters, LaShunda Smotherman of
Lufkin, Twaniqua Smotherman of Kennard and Barbara (Robert) Williams of Tadmore; grandchildren, Jamari and Darrius Sherman of Lufkin; Brothers, Jerry (Mary) Smotherman of
Kennard and Carl Smotherman of Crockett; Sisters, Susie and Nancy (Paulino Smotherman both of Kennard and Kathie Mickey Wilkin of Lufkin; Mother-in-Law, Ethel Love of Crockett; Brother-in-
Law, Melvin, Tommy and Frank Love of Crockett and Jerry Love of Houston; Sister-in-Law,
Juanita Watson of Crockett, Odess Love of Katy, Charolette Collins of Las Vegas and Doris Love
of Round Rock; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
