Tommy Earl White's Obituary
Mr. Tommy Earl White,77, formally of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Friday at Colonial.On September 9, 1944, Mr. Tommy Earl White, was born to the late Tommy White and Bessie Joyce Dixon-White in Nacogdoches, Texas.
At the age of 4 Tommy moved to Silsbee, Texas, and was reared by his maternal grandparents, the late Reverend and Mrs. Eddie Joyce. Mr. White affectionately called, "White Boy," spent more than half of his life in Lufkin, Texas. He attended Public School in Silsbee, Texas, and was a graduate of Waldo Mathews High School with the Class of 1964. He later joined the United States Army, and fought in the Vietnam War serving from 1967 to 1968.
On December 20, 1978. his grandfather the late Eddie Joyce perfotned the Nuptial between he and his bride Ola Fay Stanton White, and to this union a daughter named Tyranya E'quac was born. Before her an•ival, he was blessed with four (4) Bonus Children, Jamar, Ola, Otis and Keith whom he adored all. His livelihood consisted of his employment with Kirby Lumber Mill in Silsbee, Texas, and the Lufkin Independent School District from which he retired. Tommy was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboy Football Team. He loved to barbeque, listen to Jazz music, and spend quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchild.
