Cecelia was my classmate, but oddly I feel closer to her mother. Valarie always could relate to me and help me process my thoughts and feelings. And in her wisdom, she always made things better for me. She has never dismissed me or turned a blind eye - even when I thought I was invisible. She was the first welcoming familiar face I’d see once I came back to Diboll always flashing her beautiful signature smile. I’m so glad I got to speak with her before her passing, but was shocked to just learn the news. Valarie will be missed and my prayers for her family!
