Funeral services for Vernon Williams Jr,48, of Corrigan, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, in the First Baptist Church in Corrigan
located at 103 N . Collins St, Corrigan, Texas. Burial will follow in Union Springs. Mr. Williams was born on September 6, 1972, in Lufkin, Texas, and died on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in Houston.
Vernon Lee Williams, Jr., affectionately called "Junebug," was born to the parentage of Vernon Lee Williams, Sr. and Reatha McCloud on September 6, 1972.
He attended Corrigan-Camden Schools in his elementary years and later transferred to the Leggett School District, later earning his GED to get into the Workforce. Vernon began his work history at John Supermarket and later became employed at Champion where remained employed for many years. During these years, he met and married Shandla Rawls and produced three children. Vernon later earned his Electrician Certification through Angelina College and Texas College. He spent the last 15 years working on jobs in Houston, Texas, until 2019 when his health began to fail. He also was an active member of Mayo Chapel, under the leadership of Reverend Leslie III, where is was a member of the choir and assisted with the cleaning of the church. He had an interest in photography and T-Shirt Printing. Vernon developed his own business, Susavelli to promote his interest. He spent many days just riding the highway with family and friends on the motorcycle, He also loved to do a lot of pawn shopping.
On July 24, 2021, Vernon Lee Williams, Sr. departed this life in Houston, Texas.

Texas; Children, Jaylon, Mya, Javarion, Jamayne, and Mary; Sisters, Sylvia (Hilera) Roberts of
Lufkin, Texas, Delores Anthony Spencer of Apple Springs, Texas; Aunt, Roxie (Milton) Mays of
Leggett; Uncle, Willie (Jearldine) McCloud of Corrigan, Texas; Nieces, Brianna Roberts and Lameko Saldana; Nephews, Bryce Roberts, Frank Saldana, and Joey Anthony; A host of cousins, family, and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents, William and Katherine McCloud, James and Essie Williams, Father, Vernon Williams, Sr.; Aunts, Pennie Woods, Ventlean Williams; Uncles, James Williams, Johnny, Roy, Jimmie Lee, Buster, and J. L. McCloud; A cousin Darrick McCloud.
