Funeral services for Virgie Flenoy, 57, of Lufkin are will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 , in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Mrs. Flenoy was born January 9, 1963 in Lufkin, and died December 24, 2020 in Lufkin.
Virgie Mariette Montgomery Flenoy was born January 9, 1963 to
Connell Montgomery Sr. and Winnie Mae Montgomery (Jenkins), both of whom preceded her in death. Virgie grew up and attended public schools in Lufkin. She graduated from Lufkin High School Class of 1981 and also attended Angelina College.
Virgie was employed by Genco Federal Credit Union and worked in banking for over 35 years. With her kind heart and bright light, she was always going the extra mile for all those who stepped foot in her office.
She enjoyed the company of her family, friends, and pets (Sugar and grandpup Zuko).
Virgie was united with Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church early in life and was presently united with Grace Tabernacle Church.
She was united in holy matrimony to Terrance Anthony Flenoy on June 16, 1988.
Virgie departed this life after a valiant fight with COVID-19 on December 24, 2020.
