Willie Bob Coleman's Obituary
The funeral service for Willie Bob Coleman, 74, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. The burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
.Willie Bob Coleman, the fifth child,born to Howard and Elizabeth Coleman in Lufkin, Texas, on April 23, 1951.
Willie attended the Lufkin Independent Public Schools, graduating from Dunbar High School with the Class of 1969, where he was a member of the Dunbar Tigers Football Team. After graduation, he attended Prairie View A&M College, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Willie united with the New Zion Baptist Church in Lufkin, Texas, under the leadership of the late Reverend. L. D. Bell. During this time he sang in the Young Adult Choir. He was also the founder of the Useful Club Highlighting the JuneTeenth Festivities and Pageantry.
His employment included Lufkin National Bank, Coleman's Service Station, and later the owner of WBC Enterprise.
Willie was preceded in death by: His parents, Howard and Elizabeth Coleman and a brother Howard K. Coleman.
