Willie D. Deason Jr's Obituary
Funeral services for Willie D. Deason Jr, 63 of Apple Spring will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 20,2024, at Our Fathers House of Faith, 518 S Third Street, Lufkin. Burial will follow in the Nigton Cemetery.
Willie D. Deason, Jr., was born on September 9, 1960, to Willie D. Deason, Sr. and Anna Lee Deason. His early years and education were in Apple Springs, Texas, but he spent most of his adult years in Nigton, Texas. Later in life, he furthered his education by attending Angelina College getting a degree in air condition viand electricity, where he was on the Dean's List, and maintained a 4.0 average. On October 4, 2022, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Ida Colston until his untimely passing.
Willie later enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his full term and received an Honorable Discharge. He received Christ and the gift of salvation at an early age. On February 18, 1996, he became an Ordained Minister. Preaching his first sermon was one of his proudest moments, because his family and friends were there to support him.
Willie was a well-trained electrician having his own business, he provided services to most of the surrounding areas. He was also a licensed insurance agent with NFC and was their top seller for 3 straight years and given the title of "King of Insurance." His ambitions were always to be the best at whatever he engaged in. He had a great love for fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his cousins.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Batie and Equilla Deason, Willie Mae Payton, and Reverend Dan Teal.
Willie departed this life on Monday, January 9, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Ida Colston Deason; Mother, Anna Lee Ellis of Houston, Texas; Father, Willie D. Deason Sr, and Stepmother, Ella Marie Deason of Nigton, Texas; Four sisters, Dr. Rhonda Trivitt (Nick) Powder of Springs, Ga; Dr. Cynthia Allen (Danny) of Missouri City, Texas; Maddlan Washington Gold (Rogers) of Lufkin, Texas; LaTonya Jones of Houston, Texas; Two daughters, Tanisha Lee Deason and Tandre Cole of Houston, Texas; Six grandchildren, Tristan Cole, Abrasia Walker, Treasure Butler, Darius Butler, Derrick Butler, Jr. and Derica Butler; A host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends.
