Willie Deason- Branch's Obituary
Service for Willie Deason Branch 80, of Apple Springs will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Our Father's House, 518 S. 3rd Street, Lufkin. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning 9 a.m. till time of service. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Mrs. Deason - Branch was born on December 27, 1942, in Nigton, and died on Sunday, February 5, 2023, in Lufkin. Mother Willie Mae Deason Branch was born on December 27, 1942, to Batie Ben Deason, Sr and Equilla Spencer Deason in the Community of Nigton Texas.
Mother Willie Mae attended Nigton Elementary then Junior High and High School at H.G. Temple High
School in Diboll where she graduated. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Elder BB Phipps in the Church by Christ Jesus Nigton. Shortly after high school, she met and married her beloved "Hunny" the late Pastor, Elder Jesse B Branch, Sr. She obtained her certified nurse assistant certificate where she worked at Angelina nursing home for numerous years. She also attended classes at Angelina Jr College.
Mother Willie Mae Branch helped build and establish that little spirit filled Church in Nigton, The Church by Christ Jesus where she served faithfully under several great leaders. She was most blessed to serve beside her husband at The Church by Christ Jesus Nigton for over 23 years as First Lady, Missionary President, Choir Member, Board Member, and Sunday School teacher. After raising their children, Mother Willie Mae later became Co-Founder of Innovative Homes of Deep East Texas and worked actively for the company for over 25 years touching the lives of many consumers and people. Working in the ministry and working for the elderly and individuals with intellectual disabilities was her passion but she still found time for hobbies that included fishing, cooking, crocheting, quilting and traveling across the country by car, train, boat and plane. She was an active member of the Groveton Senior Citizen sewing group, where she continued to hand make cherished items for her family and loved ones.
In 2012, Mother Willie Mae transferred her membership to Our Fathers House of Faith Ministries, where she served under the leadership of her son Pastor Elder Andro Branch. She faithfully served as Mother of the Church, Pastor Aide, and Food Committee Coordinator until her health began to fail but she continued to support the ministry.
Mother Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband of over 44 years the late Pastor Elder Jesse Branch Sr, Parents Batie and Equilla Deason; Brothers Sylvester, Lonnie, and Ben Jr. Deason; Sister Pearlie Smith; Son Charles Darnel Branch.
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, Mother Willie Mae Branch transitioned from this earthly life surrounded by family and loved ones in Lufkin Texas .
She leaves behind to forever cherish her memory: Children Daughters; Chyrel Bolton (Eddie), Irene Branch, JoAnn Branch; Sons, James Branch, Elder Andro Branch (Angel), Chris Branch (Sherri), Earl Branch, Jessie B. Branch, Jr ; Brothers Willie D. Deason (Marie) and Joe Deason (Frances); Sisters Laverne White (Harold), Doris Charlton, Annie Bell Deason; Numerous cherished Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren: 3 Brother-in-laws and 3 Sister-in-laws; Special Sister in love Missionary, Lucy Mark; Special Brother & Sister in love, District Elder LV Branch and Co-Pastor Mary Branch; Special nephew Desmond Charlton; Special friends Eleanor Chinn, and Manasha Martin and a host of other close relatives and friends she cherished.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all acts of sympathy, love, support and your prayers, during our time of bereavement.
