Willie Henry Sr.'s Obituary
The funeral service for Willie Henry, 65, of Lufkin, will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, at noon at Overcomers Through Faith Ministries, 202 Forest Park Blvd. The burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Gardens, Jackson Road, Lufkin.
On December 8, 1959, a baby boy was born to the parentage of Lawyer and Daisy Etta Henry. Willie was a quick-witted, fun, and loving man. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting, and listening to music, particularly Jazz. Willie was a Christian by faith and enjoyed hearing and discussing the Word of God. His employment included Truck Driving though he was a Mechanic by profession. Of the many things he wanted in life, nothing touched his heart more than spending quality time with his grandchildren.
On December 29, 2024, Willie Frank Henry, Sr., transitioned from this Earthly life to his Heavenly Home.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: A Special lady friend, Emily Holman; His children, Willie Jr. (Lisa) Henry, Vollie Henry, Lukiesha Henry and Beverly Henry; His joy: Granddaughters, Amoree, Markianna, Zhari, Astrin, Amoriyah and Alexxus; Two great-grandchildren, Tiegan Henry, Jmar McGlothan; Sisters, De Etta Morrison and Dorothy Jenkins; Brothers, Frankie James (Shirley), Floyd Henry, James Edward Henry, Lawyer Henry Jr.; A wealth of other extended family members.
Willie is preceded in death by his parents, Lawyer Henry and Daisy Etta Henry, and his brothers, John Lawyer Henry and Prince Edward Henry.
