From: Isaac & Delores Baker - part of the M. C. Williams family will keep the family in prayer. Mr. Spencer is resting with the angels. He took care of all the families of classmates (Marjorie McGruder-Hall), PV alumni friends as well as HISD schools and administration. Rest well, One more time.
An old Chinese Proverb says "One generation plants the trees, and the next generation enjoys the shade." All who passed through the halls of M.C. Williams High School are enjoying shade from the tree that Mr. Spencer planted. I finised in the class of 1967. For the past six years. he has brought Mrs. Josephine Edwards, Ms. Jean Jackson and others to share in the celebration of my Pastor Anniversary Banquets. Two years ago they were present for my retirement service. I will be celebrating my 50 years in ministry at the Power Center in May, and he was on my list. Fifty years after I finished high school he was still showing support to those who are enjoying the shade from his tree. He will be missed but his legacy as a supporter will always remain in our hearts.
