Wilnet Garr's Obituary
Services for Wilnet Garr, 79, will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Baeulah Baptist Church, 217 S. Warren St.,Lufkin, TX. Burial will follow in the Davis Memorial Garden. Mrs. Garr died Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Dallas, TX. Visitation wil be from 9:00 till time of services on Saturday at Mt. Beaulah Baptist Church.
Ms. Wilnet Garr, was born on November 29, 1946 in Hemphill, Texas, to the late Vertis and Velma Davis.
She received her formal education from Thomas Johnson High School, Class of 1964 in Hemphill, Texas. Ms. Garr was a faithful member of the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Choir, member of the Mission, Superintendent of Sunday School, and was on the Finance Committee. She also loved to play solitaire, work crossword puzzles, she loved reading and spending quality time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family.
On December 7, 2025, Ms. Wilnet Garr made her transition from this earthly life, to receive her heavenly rewards.
Survivors: A son, Marvin Garr of Lufkin ; Brothers, Willie Roy Davis of Lufkin and Gary (Connie) Davis of Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Garr was preceded in death by:Son, Reginald Glenn Davis,Her parents, Vertis and Velma Davis; Siblings, Ross, Dorothy Jean, Claudie, Modestine, Lonnie, Verdie, and Ray Charles Davis.
