Zekendrick Oliphant's Obituary
Funeral services for ZeKendrick Oliphant, 36, of Diboll will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at 901 Lynn Street, Diboll Texas. Visitation will be at Colonial Mortuary Chapel on Friday, June 12, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mila Texas. Mr. Oliphant was born on August 28, 1983, in Lufkin, and died Saturday, June 6, 2020, in Lufkin.
Zion' Oliphant was born August 28, 1983 to Aretha Denice Oliphant and his Great Grandma (Granny) Irene Oliphant; who loved and cherished him until her departure in life, as she left him and his young mother under the care of Marvin & Rita Butler to be the overseers of him and his young mother. Also for the Levias and Calhoun Families and Wilda Levias to do so as well. Until he and his mother was walking one day and a voice said "Hey Bae" lead him and his mother into the family of Melvin & Julia Mae Phipps; which was the voice that carried the love and care of Michael Lynn Phipps, Sr. for 17 years.
"Z' attended the L.I.S.D. for a short period time and then back to his home of the 'Mighty Diboll Lumberjacks"; where he was a "Power Lifter" and played offensive and defensive for the Diboll Lumberjacks. ZZ loved the game. He graduated in 2002 from Diboll High School, Diboll, Texas and continued his education at the Trinity Valley College. He was employed with Temple Industries and other unknown jobs for a short period of time until he decided to give himself to his hood and the streets and in his own words: "The Streets Raised Me" ZZ Loved his Hood.

Ashley; son: Quentin and his mother Heather and one precious Little Baby Girl, Kamryn (Kumpi). Also, 3 siblings; Michael Lynn "Phipp" Phipps, Jr., Eric D'Michael Phipps and his darling baby sister: Yasmine Irene Phipps (my sister) and Christian & JaKayla Levias and Lucky Parlay (was raised in love as his brother). Also, one beautiftl fight for him precious niece Eriann D'Lynn Phipps and one argumentive nephew Eric D'Michael Phipps aka E. Jizzle. Two uncles: John (Crystal) Smith and Shun (Brandy) Butler.
