David, although I was born into a family with three older siblings (two daughters and a son) yet, being able to spend the greater majority of my childhood (during those long hot summer days and nights, and the many quick and fast weekends) in your parents’ home, you proved to be the big brother whom I needed so desperately. I am thankful you cared for your sisters and me doing our young adult years. I am thankful you watched over us and protected us from those undesirables, who, would have, if they, could have, taken full advantage of us girls. I am thankful you were there, always by our side, to help and be our gallant and chivalrous guide. I appreciate you for being so caring and so very, very, very kind and true, a very dear, special, and greatly loved big brother, the one whom I (we) desperately needed, I (we) found in you.
To the lovely Mrs. David Duncan and precious family…we are so sorry for your loss. We extend our condolences to you and yours, and may God’s peace be your comfort during this time.
To David’s Sisters and Brother (my forever cherished darlings)…Delores, Debra, Damita, Devon, & Dollie… I love you dearly. Thank you for being my true and loving siblings, and for graciously allowing the love David had for you to be shared with me too. May the love and mercy of God surround you all with His comfort during the days ahead, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, shepherd your thoughts and hearts when grief raises its ugly head.
Remember…Ain’t no LOVE like that Duncan LOVE, ‘Cause that Duncan LOVE is forever…
