Graveside service for David Duncan, 69 of Lufkin will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 5 p.m., till 7 p.m., at the Colonial Mortuary. Mr. Duncan was born on August 29, 1951, in Dallas, and died on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Lufkin.
Mr. David Duncan was born in Lancaster, Texas August 29, 1951, to Dock and Dorothy Duncan who preceded him in death.
He spent his early years in the Dallas area until he met and married the Love of His Life, Tennie and moved to Lufkin, Texas. David was a beloved Chaplain of VFW Post 1836, U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of The Church Of The Living God P.G.T., where he served as a Deacon. David loved to go fishing, sing, mentoring the youth, cooking, and shopping. He believed you should Dress to Impress, and David dressed. He never met a stranger and enjoyed lending a helping hand to those in need. David's kind heart and compassion for others will truly be missed.
