My condolences to the Grimes family. Mrs. Grimes had a wonderful sense of humor. She was always picking at me when we worked on the same campus. I loved her sternness also. She said what she meant, and meant what she said...like it or not! She was an old school mother, just like my Momma still is, with the kind of wisdom and experience that I won't ever forget. I can picture you sitting on your porch, waving and giving me that eye when I was a child and riding my bicycle down North street. I was scared of you then because I knew you would see Momma at Greater Shiloh, so I behaved. Hugs and kisses from me to you. I'll never forget your style...Rest now Mrs. Grimes.
