Roger was one of those men who took me under their wings when I started on Temple's Sawmill Log Process in1973. He could pick a flea off a hound with his crane. He was a gentleman.

From the day Roger and my cousin Sylvia Jo married, he lovingly embraced us as family. He was a real gentleman. I remember him as always kind, respectful, caring...the definition of a good man. I will genuinely miss him.
I remember Mr. Roger being a good friend of my Uncle James. Now they get to meet up again.
